( darya ) although progress is being made on the fires in the north bay ... there is some concern with rain in the forecast tonight and tomorrow morning. kron four's terisa estacio has more. over in the distance.. drones are flying - i am here just off of fountaingrove parkway - they are using the drones to check for hotspots i spoke with calfire officials today and although the forecase calls for rain and one would think that is good news it poses some potential risks to restart these deadly fires. (estacio) these were flames from just off highway 12 near oakmont monday night. although crews were successful in beating back the flames by setting backfires, and getting

people on the ground and bulldozers to start the fires from spreading there is a new concern on the horizon this is steve crawford from calfire. steve crawford. rain is not always good, it can bring wind, and that could potential get these fires running again, and we could be looking at new fires again new fires would cetainly effect all of the work done so far and effect work by utility crews to replace critical infrastrutre to allow residents a chance to return home or to get into the burnned out areas to see if there was anything they could salvage.
